European Championships

The 2025 29er European Championships are being held in Italy, at Fraglia Vela Riva in the stunning Lake Garda. The Event runs from the 1st until the 8th of July, with racing starting on the 3rd. With a record 251 entries, and 29er nations competing this event will be like no other! Follow along on the event page!

In 2024 the European Championships was hosted by Gydnia, Poland and the Polish Yachting Association as part of their Gdynia Sailing Days festival. 

2023 will see European Championship racing take place at Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS), Sweden. This yacht club is one of the oldest in the World, formed in 1830 and racing will take place in the outer Stockholm Archipelago. 29ereuropeans.org is a dedicated site for the European Championships, where you'll find all the information you need about the 2023 event as is it available.

2022 will see racing take place at Kongelig Dansk Yacht Club in Rungsted, Denmark in the waters of Oresund. This body of water sits between Denmark & Sweden.Denmark are the current holders of the Ovington Nations Cup and will be looking to retain the title. 2021 will see the Europeans heading back to Garda, this time at Fragliavelariva.  Riva offered to extend what was the Eurocup dates by a day to accommodate the Europeans, prizes will be awarded to both the Eurocup final winners and the European Champions. Who is going to steal the Ovington European Nations Cup from GBR?!  Dates are 23rd - 27th October.
