A Windy Morning Shakes Up the Leaderboard
After a windless Day 4, Lake Garda came roaring back to life this morning with its signature northerly breeze, the Peler, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of racing. The early decision to start at 7:30 AM, made by PRO Carlo Tosi, Class Representative Peter Lubeck, and the Fraglia Vela Riva team led by Fausto Maroni, proved decisive. Four full races were completed in rapid succession, offering perfect planing conditions and reshuffling the overall standings. This is why Garda Trentino is known around the sailing world as the “wind factory.” In addition to Gold Fleet, Silver, Bronze, and Emerald fleets also completed four races each, under the skilled direction of Valentina Bravi and Fabrizio Donato. The conditions allowed every sailor to get back into the rhythm after yesterday’s standstill.

Major Shifts in the Top Teams
Germany’s Lucas and Moritz Hamm dominated the day with a scoreline of 2-9-1-1, demonstrating top form in the breeze and climbing to the top of the leaderboard. They now hold a narrow one-point advantage over the Swiss. Known for their speed in wind, the Hamm twins are proving why they’ve long been contenders in the class.
Ikke Huber and Liam Berger continued their consistent run with results of 3-3-5-3, keeping the pressure on the Germans. With just one point separating the top two, the championship is wide open heading into the final day. “We had a great day. We’re loving the Garda breeze and we’re going to give it everything tomorrow,” said Liam Berger after racing.
Overnight leaders Mostini and Allain had a tougher day and slipped to third overall, but the French fleet remains strong with three teams in the top six. There’s an internal battle brewing among the tricolore as Huet des Aunay & Gressetand Le Goff & Vidor close the gap. “We always come back. Tomorrow will be our day,” said Jules Vidor with confidence.
History Made for Puerto Rico in the Mixed Category
A landmark day for Puerto Rico saw Izabella Calzadilla and Diego Power take the win in the first race of the day in Gold Fleet. It was the first time a Puerto Rican team has claimed a race win at this level, and they now lead the mixed category, sitting 13th overall.
Trailing them by 10 points are the Italians Giulia Bartolozzi and Pietro Rizzi, currently 18th overall. With one day to go, the chase is on.
Polish Team Leads the Women’s Fleet

Poland’s Antonina Puchowask and Alicja Dampc had a tough start to the day with a capsize at the top mark in the first race, but they recovered well to finish fourth in the final heat. They drop to 21st overall but still lead the female category, just one point ahead of France’s Petronille Lascane and Raphaelle Kimbel.
With the women's title hanging by a thread, the final day promises serious intensity.
Final Day Ahead

The event is proudly sponsored by Kidzink and will wrap up in the afternoon with the official awards ceremony at Fraglia Vela Riva.

The championship is still wide open. One more day. One more chance. Let’s go racing.
